Many businesses went into a tailspin when COVID-19 struck. Apart from dealing with and reacting to the sudden lifestyle and policy changes, business owners had to take care of their employees, customers and the survival of their business. These changes happen as quickly as the situation evolves, and it doesn’t help that information is scattered, adding to the confusion that many are already experiencing.
… a community for people to consolidate critical information, share resources, discuss issues and crowdsource solutions.
SBO was not spared either from the whirlwind of events. As an online publication, we already found it hard to stay on top of updates and cope with changes while maintaining normal operations, let alone businesses with inventories and staff to manage, among many other things.
So to help people cope with the rapidly changing business and employment landscape, we’ve decided to start a community for people to consolidate critical information, share resources, discuss issues and crowdsource solutions. It doesn’t matter if you’re the business owner, an employee or unemployed – we hope that Singaporeans will gather to discuss their livelihoods and help each other navigate this uncertain time. Just think of this community as a business Quora.
… we hope that Singaporeans will gather to discuss their livelihoods and help each other navigate this uncertain time.
We’ve created dedicated sections based on the concerns we’ve seen on social media. These include:
- Gahmen aids and grants
- Good lobangs
- Business problems and disruptions
Members are able to share their problems, experiences and solutions to help others respond to changes and make decisions faster. There is also a marketplace to let members market their products and services.
This community is free for everyone. All you need to do is to sign up to start helping others or ask for help.
We’re not a million-dollar media company. We don’t have the means to give out freebies or feature businesses at no cost. We’re just three persons running this business publication with our savings, but we want to help and this is the best way we know how. So help us and others by joining the community and sharing it with your friends.
